In The Silence

In The Silence

In the silence she missed him
In the silence she cried
In the silence she dreamed of once
In the silence she tried
In the silence she remembered
In the silence she smiled
In the silence she called to him
In the silence stared wild
In the silence she kicked the covers
In the silence she screamed
In the silence she wept allowed as
His memory could never be undreamed

  1. Don’t we all have been through phases when we cried ourselves to sleep thinking about someone-this poem is so relatable. Another heartfelt gem from you, drew

    1. There was a time many many years ago, I literally thought I was going insane due to a relationship ending with a girlfriend. It wasn’t good, and every night was torture. Thanks so much again Piyali.

      1. Oh breakups (mutual or not) are always so brutal. I guess one can never be strong enough to just wade through it without feeling any pain. It always hits you so hard like it did at the very first time when you had experienced it.
